What is a Strobe Light in Photography? – Anatomy, Settings and Functions

In this video we will be understanding what is a strobe light in the world of photography by looking at its anatomy in detail. A strobe light is something that often causes a lot of confusion among beginner studio photographers because they don’t understand how exactly it is supposed to be used.

As you will find out in the video, one of the things that causes this confusion is something called as a modelling lamp (continuous light bulb), which is a part of a strobe light. Understanding the difference between the modelling lamp and the flash unit will ultimately make you understand a strobe. Here’s the video:
